Hello everyone. I hope you all enjoyed the holidays and are settling into the new year.
It's time for the Friends of Unity blog hop again and this time we are doing a theme that everyone needs. So scroll on down and then be sure to follow along with the hop. It's going to be fun!
Yep, I don't know about you but I am always needing birthday cards. This last go round, I discovered I was woefully short one masculine cards so both of my cards this month can be used for the guys in my life.
This first card uses some Simon Says Ink in Cadette and Fairway to set the tone. I used the itty bitty stamp called Candles, Stars & Birthday Wishes for my image. I just watercolored the candles with the same two inks. Then I took the lovely background stamp called Infinite Birthday Wishes and inked the top in the Fairway ink. I wiped that off and inked the bottom with the Cadette ink, making sure to overlap just a bit. I popped the image up with foam tape and added some die cut starts around it. Some are adhered straight to the background and some got popped up with the foam tape too.
This lovely card was super easy to do and you could make several in no time at all. I stamped the panel with the Balloon Party Background stamp. Then I pulled out my new Karin markers and watercolored them up. I just used a gray marker to fill in around them so the balloons would really pop. I die cut the sentiment in white and then used the same markers to color along the words. Super quick and fun.
Be sure to hop along with all the rest of the group. There is bound to be lots of amazing inspiration.
